Jessica Russell started working for Tutoring Club in August of 2012, shortly after relocating to Las Vegas from Fort Campbell, Kentucky when her husband retired from the military. During her time as an army wife, Jessica pursued higher education, majoring in Mathematics and Secondary Education, and graduated with a 4.0 GPA and membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. For three years, Jessica was the coordinator and head tutor for the Hopkinsville Community College tutoring center, which offered free tutoring services to those enrolled in classes with the college. Jessica gained a lot of experience tutoring people of all ages, from 17 to 65 years old, and mathematics skills ranging from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus and Statistics. She is proud to have served active duty soldiers pursuing their degrees between deployments, and their extended families. Jessica started with Tutoring Club as a mathematics tutor, and within a year she became the Director of the North Las Vegas location, and has continued to provide excellent service to families with students from grades K-12 struggling from a wide range of academic issues. Jessica strongly believes in the value of tutoring, and knows that with proper guidance, all students can reach their potential and succeed!
Bianca Wood has been exposed to the educational arena for most of her life. Her mother just happens to be a phenomenal teacher for the past 35 years. Although, her formal training came from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a Minor in Communication Studies in 2001, her passion and desire for being in the classroom and becoming an educator was instilled early on in life by observing her mother. Bianca continued her education and obtained her Masters in Technology in Education in 2004. After working in General Education for the next five years and working with students with a variety of different disabilities, she found that she wanted to find ways to reach students of all levels through differentiation. So, Bianca went back to school to obtain a second Masters in Special Education. She is currently beginning her 15th year of teaching in Clark County School District at a local middle school. Building relationships with students from a variety of backgrounds, with a diverse array of needs while constantly finding ways to motivate and engage them is highly important to Bianca. In addition to teaching, she has also been tutoring for the past 14 years, assisting students with reaching their highest potential.

"I am so very grateful for Tutoring Club! Both of my daughters started attending tutoring sessions earlier this year. One was struggling in math and the other was severely behind grade level. My daughters have come so far in just months. My oldest daughter is now above grade level and is no longer struggling with math. My youngest now enjoys to read and is eager to learn more! Thank you Tutoring Club!!"
I can’t say enough good things about Tutoring Club. My son has been attending for almost a year and the results have been great. I love that they test him along the way so we can see his progress. The best part is he never complains about going because they make it so much fun.
Our daughter has drastically improved (2 grade levels) in reading comprehension and math in the 4 months she’s been attending Tutoring Club.
Tutoring Club has helped both of my kids. One has been behind in reading and writing since first grade. Tutoring Club has brought her up almost 3 grade levels in 1½ years.
Tutoring Club is the best place to receive ACT tutoring. I began ACT tutoring two weeks before the big test and it pushed my score from a 21 to a 27 in that short amount of time.
I have two children at two different grade levels participating in the program. So far each child loves their individual tutors and their experience. They were really dreading having to ‘work over the summer’ but have adjusted well and [are] striving. They seem satisfied when I pick them up, always saying they’ve learned something new or a better way to understand math equations. That’s a win-win for me!
My three children have had great success with the tutoring they’ve received at the Tutoring Club. I was tired of the nightly homework frustration and struggle that had gone on for too long in our house. We noticed fairly quickly as the kids were attending Tutoring Club that their confidence started to grow and the frustration decreased. The kids flourished academically and we had peaceful family nights again! Everyone at Tutoring Club has always been very friendly and provided excellent tutoring and structure in a fun learning environment for my children. I recommend Tutoring Club to anyone that has a student of any age.
My daughter has been going to the Poway Tutoring Club from eighth grade to the present (tenth grade). She went from having nearly failing grades and really poor personal organization to straight As, and she is now undertaking AP classes as well as a busy sports schedule. The Tutoring Club staff seems to do very well at finding what works to get these kids focused on their learning career, and their 0% financing options were a lifesaver to a family like ours. It has been money well spent, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
