Scholarship Rules

These are rules for the scholarships provided by the Tutoring Club of Friendswood, TX

SCHOLARSHIP RULES AND GUIDELINES

  1. Applicant must be a US Citizen and at least in the 9th grade and above, or an entering College Freshman at the time of payment to qualify. By participating in the scholarship competition, you fully and unconditionally agree to and accepts these terms and the decisions of the sponsor, which are final and binding. Void outside of the U.S. and where prohibited by law.
  2. Applicant must be/have been a student of Alvin ISD, Clear Creek ISD, Deer Park ISD, Dickinson ISD, Friendswood ISD, Galveston ISD, Hitchcock ISD, LaPorte ISD, Pasadena ISD, Pearland ISD, Texas City ISD. Applicant may also be a Parochial School or Home School student who resides within one of these districts.
  3. Where the Scholarship Committee narrows the list of finalists, the Committee reserves the right to ask for supporting documentation in regard to your scholarship submission.
  4. The selected winner must submit an official high school transcript with an unweighted GPA of 4.0. If the applicant is Home Schooled, the applicant must submit a notarized Home School grade transcript signed by the parent or guardian.
  5. This scholarship will be awarded to the winner and paid directly to their college or university for tuition, their first semester of college (for high school students) or the semester following their win (for current college  students), whichever is earlier.
  6. Each winner must provide satisfactory proof of college enrollment (minimum of 15 semester hours) for the issuance of scholarship monies.
  7. The selected winner will be responsible for coordinating arrangements to have his or her picture taken along with the sponsor while receiving a celebratory scholarship award check.
  8. Except where prohibited by law, entry in the Contest constitutes Applicant’s consent for Sponsor to use Applicant’s name, school, school district and state of residence, Contest Entry, likeness, photograph and image (collectively, “Publicity Materials”) for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any media, online or offline, without further permission, consent, payment or other consideration.
  9. Applications will be accepted through the deadline of the scholarship, and the winner will be selected on or around the selection date noted on the scholarship page.Tutoring Club of League City Guaranteed Scholarship Agreement Rev. 0
