Thanksgiving Scholarship – Scholarship Application

We suggest that you type/compose and save your essay in a different program (for example, Word or NotePad) first. Click on the link to start the application, then upload your essay to copy/paste them in the provided text box.
1. In 200 – 250 words, please submit an essay on the following prompt: Many people spend the holidays volunteering to help others in need. Write about a time you helped make a difference in your school or community.
2. Choose an original photograph that depicts your memory. Your photo must be in a JPG/JPEG format or PNG file format with a maximum file size of 2MB.
3. Write a caption of 140 characters or less.
4. Share your photo and its caption on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #tutoringclubscholarship. Your Twitter or Instagram account must be public to qualify for the scholarship.
Who can apply?
This scholarship is for students in the 9th grade and above living in the following areas: Alvin ISD, Clear Creek ISD, Deer Park ISD, Dickinson ISD, Friendswood ISD, Galveston ISD, Hitchcock ISD, LaPorte ISD, Pasadena ISD, Pearland ISD and Texas City ISD. Applicants may attend public, private, or home schools.
The scholarship recipient will be notified by email on or around January 7, 2020
