Bianca Wood has been exposed to the educational arena for most of her life. Her mother just happens to be a phenomenal teacher for the past 35 years. Although, her formal training came from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a Minor in Communication Studies in 2001, her passion and desire for being in the classroom and becoming an educator was instilled early on in life by observing her mother. Bianca continued her education and obtained her Masters in Technology in Education in 2004. After working in General Education for the next five years and working with students with a variety of different disabilities, she found that she wanted to find ways to reach students of all levels through differentiation. So, Bianca went back to school to obtain a second Masters in Special Education. She is currently beginning her 15th year of teaching in Clark County School District at a local middle school. Building relationships with students from a variety of backgrounds, with a diverse array of needs while constantly finding ways to motivate and engage them is highly important to Bianca. In addition to teaching, she has also been tutoring for the past 14 years, assisting students with reaching their highest potential.
