Tutoring Club Opens 200th Learning Center in Stamford

One of the Nation’s fastest growing learning centers hits a major milestone this month with the opening of the company’s 200th franchise in Stamford. The new Tutoring Club of Stamford is owned by Maria Markus.

“Study after study shows tutoring is a critical tool to help struggling students through their coursework,” Markus said. “The rapid growth of Tutoring Club demonstrates the commitment of families to make this tool available for their children.” Markus also owns the Tutoring Club of Ridgefield.

“Tutoring Club tutors and staff are dedicated to helping children of every skill level succeed in school and, in many cases, even surpass their grade-level competencies,” notes founder Larry Schwartz. “Helping our communities and children grow is our passion.”

To recognize the 200th opening, Tutoring Club will host an Open House on Saturday, October 6 in Stamford from 9am-2pm. The ribbon cutting will feature comments by Tutoring Club of Stamford owner, Maria Markus, and the Mayor of Stamford, Dannel Malloy. There will also be an appearance by Storm from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, from 11am-12pm. Tutoring Club staff will be on site to give tours, provide program information, and answer questions. There will be live music and food. Grand Opening prizes include free diagnostic testing and a free month of tutoring.

In honor of its 200th opening, Tutoring Club is making a donation to Newfield Elementary School in Stamford, through the Adopt-A-Classroom program.
